HWV Single Acting PU Dust Seal is designed to protect hydraulic cylinders from external contaminants and moisture while maintaining the oil film on the piston rod. Made from polyurethane, it features an interference-fit outer diameter that helps secure the seal firmly in its installation groove.
Its specially designed sealing lip removes contaminants without scraping away the oil film attached to the piston rod, helping avoid excessive oil removal during reciprocating movement.
A raised section at the base reduces the contact area between the seal and piston rod, helping lower friction. This design also reduces the risk of the wiper being dragged out of its groove in demanding operating conditions, such as high-speed movement and long-stroke hydraulic cylinders.
